For a limited time only, we're offering Tampa residents closet cleanouts with a personal stylist.

You can now request a personal stylist to help you with a closet cleanout. The closet cleanout services are $80/hour with a 4-hour minimum. Current members can use their member discount on this service. -Pro tip: you'll save more with your membership discount than the cost of the first month of membership. Now that's a deal!

We'll send a professional personal stylist to your Tampa home to help you trim down your closet and organize it in a way that makes sense for you. We’ll even offer store credit for future purchases for anything we’re able to use at our store.

We can help you decide what items work best for you and your style, switch out your hangers with slimline velvet hangers, and pre-style outfits. We can even find a matching piece to a separate you don't have a match for at our store. We can customize the experience to fit you and your needs.

What to expect:

Using our intake form below, you'll let us know a little bit about the space. We'll reach out to you via text to receive a picture/s of your space that you'd like organized, and we'll provide an estimate of how much time we think it might take. We'll ask for payment via phone for the minimum 4-hour ($80/hour) cleanout and we'll settle the balance for the rest after the clean out is complete using the card on file. Any hangers purchased to replace old hangers will be charged after the cleanout is complete; if applicable.

If you've asked for us to provide store credit, that store credit can be used for in-store purchases or membership fees.

You can choose for us to switch out your existing hangers with space saving slimline velvet hangers. Each hanger is $1 if you choose to add this to the service.

All closet clean out customers will receive their first month of membership for half off. *Does not apply to existing members. Current members will receive their member discount on this service.

After our closet refresh, getting dressed in the morning will be a breeze!

Clothes with a Story: An Unusual Donation Request

A few weeks ago, a woman walked into the store with an unusual story. She was from out of town and attended a funeral of a retired soul singer. At this funeral, pieces of the singer's wardrobe was gifted to people that attended so that people that loved her would have something to remember her by. The problem came in that she was flying back home and had no way to get it back. She decided to give it forward and left it with us to spread the love.

As we don’t just sell clothing, we rent it, we saw that this might need to be washed several times and we didn't want to ruin this coat. We discussed as a team how we wanted to move forward with the coat and settled on writing down its history, slipping it in the pocket, and donating it forward in hopes that it finds a lovely home that appreciates where it comes from.

Seminole Heights Retail Locations Struggle with Slow Sales.

You may have heard the story the Tampa Bay Times did on Seminole Heights restaurants facing struggles because residents are afraid to leave their homes.

Well, retail businesses in the area are feeling the strain as well. For example, on Valhalla's busiest day of the week last week, we made $2 in total sales for the day. Sadly, we're not the only one facing such a steep decline in sales.

Supporting local business, especially in hard times like these, is an important thing you can do to help build your community.

According to a study done by American Express, homes near areas with a high proportion of small, local retailers saw a rise in property values 17% higher than growth in comparable areas with proportionally fewer independent retailers.

Last month Valhalla kept 79% of costs within the Seminole Heights community

According to the Civic Economics Study, about 68% of money spent in a local community stays within the community. David Boyle of the Community Supported Agriculture Program says, "Money is like blood. It needs to keep moving around to keep the economy going." When money is spent at big box stores, "it flows out, like a wound."

Shop Local Seminole Heights

At Valhalla, we strive to do better. Last month we kept 79% of costs within the Seminole Heights community. If you expand to look at Tampa as a whole, 89% of our expenses were kept within the community - about 20% more than the average small business. We also believe in supporting other women, 40% of our expenses last month went to supporting woman owned businesses and women in our community.
