Intake form and estimate process

We use the closet cleanout form to help us establish a free quote based on what you'd like completed along with pictures of your space. Once we establish a quoted time, we'll have you complete a style and lifestyle form so that we can establish your goals for the project and any styling needs you might have.

Steps:

  1. Complete the Closet Cleanout Form to request a free quote.

  2. We'll reach out via text to ask for a picture of your closet to help us establish a quote.

  3. We'll text with a quote.

  4. If the quote is acceptable to you, you can reach out via phone to pay for the minimum.

  5. We'll reach out with a styling and lifestyle form for you to complete that will help us establish your needs.

  6. We'll complete the project and charge the balance to the card on file. - We'll reach out before we complete this if it is different than we discussed.

 

Unwanted items

If you've asked for us to haul away unwanted items and provide store credit for any items we are able to take, that store credit can be used for in-store clothing and accessory purchases or membership fees. We will provide a store credit value and apply it to your account before we leave.

 

Hanger replacement

You can choose for us to switch out your existing hangers with slimline velvet hangers (same brand and style that we use at our Valhalla Resale shop). These hangers are perfect for an organized closet because they take up minimal space and are flocked so even the flimsiest items stay on the hanger. Each hanger is $1 if you choose to add this to the service. If you'd like us to dispose of your hangers, it's a flat $10 fee.

 

Tips before cleanout

If you have any jewelry or accessories you no longer wear but would like to, move those items to where we can see them so we can make sure we incorporate them into the looks we create.

It would be helpful for you to have a full-length mirror in the space you plan on trying on.


No prep needed before we arrive

As long as you don't need to relocate items that don't belong in your space that you'd like organized, there isn't a need to prep before we arrive.

We understand if you feel the need to tidy before we arrive but don't feel any pressure to pre-clean or tidy up. We're not guests you need to impress, we're here to give you the help you need. We're not here to judge.

 

Day of cleanout

We'll spend about 15 or 20 minutes with you going over the space and getting a feel for how to organize your closet in a way that best fits your needs. While this is your show and we can organize things exactly how you envision, if you'd rather us make some decisions about organization strategy, we're totally here for that too.

We'll start by removing the items from your closet and placing them in piles, likely based on how you'd prefer your closet organized. We'd love for a clean space to be cleared for this like a bed. If you don't have a space available for this, just let us know.

If you'd like to take this opportunity to vacuum the bottom of your closet, this is a great time as we're organizing things into piles.

If you'd like to try on while we're organizing and are modest we recommend wearing tight a tight fitting top and bottom like a tank top and yoga pants. If you're not modest, we ask that you wear at least underwear on the top and bottom.

We'll then categorize all of your items per the plan we developed together and put them back in a way that makes sense for you. After the cleanout, you like, we can find matching items for anything we didn't have a match for in your closet at our shop.
